About RallySteps

RallySteps is a short daily tennis practice for young players at the red and orange ball stages, made by Will, a tennis dad. The guides on this site answer the questions parents of young players ask most, and every fact in them comes from a tennis federation, a health body or published research.

Who is behind it

Hi, I'm Will. My daughter is six and plays red ball tennis. Where we live, winter means months of very little court time, and lessons are not cheap, so the days in between matter. I wanted her to keep her love for the game and keep improving at home, without me having to be her coach.

So I built RallySteps: the home practice coaches give young players, about ten minutes a day, with a coach's voice that leads so she can play on her own.

How the guides are written

I am a parent, not a coach or a doctor, so the guides do not rely on my opinion. Each one:

The same goes for the app. Where RallySteps drills come from lists the federation activities and children's movement programme each card is based on. RallySteps is not affiliated with or endorsed by any tennis federation.

The guides are general information for parents, not medical advice. If something looks wrong or out of date, please tell me at contact@rallysteps.com and I will fix it.
